Springtime in Ireland

Feb 28, 2023 | 0 comments

It's officially Spring!!!
Spring in Ireland begins today on the 1st of March and continues until the end of May.
It is a time when animals and plants begin to wake up from the long winter.
Luckily for me, Winter was not too long as I spent 4 weeks of January in the Southern Hemisphere. I arrived back to Ireland in the early days of February just in time to celebrate the first St Brigid’s Day holiday.

February is so noticeably Springtime in Ireland – days are getting longer, daffodils are in bloom and we’ve had some lovely mild 11 degree celsius days – warm enough to sit outside for a coffee (with a  jacket on!)

First tours in March
I’m looking forward to March and getting back on the road touring again. The St Patrick’s Day festival is when all things tourism kick off in Ireland and hospitality and tour business gradually comes out of hibernation to get to full operation by the end of April.
Peak season runs from May – September as do our lovely long Irish days with up to 17 hours of daylight. We live these Summer days to the max!

2023 tours

2023 is looking like a busy year – there are still some opportunities to book onto a scheduled departure or book a private tour for your friends or family.
